Craig Boddington

Craig Boddington is one of today's most respected outdoor journalists. He's a decorated Marine Colonel, an award winning author, and continues to be a leading voice for conservation around the world. Craig has spent the last 40 years exploring the world while he has written dozens of books and thousands of published articles and essays. I have followed Craig for years on both television and in print. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Dallas Safari Club show. There I got two of his signed books - Safari Rifles II and American Hunting Rifles II.  If your a gun nut like me, you will enjoy reading both of these books that I highly recommend!

Ivan Carter

Ivan Carter is one of Africa's best known professional hunters and guide. He was the youngest hunter to receive his professional license and holds licenses in several African countries. Ivan has long been the star for two television shows on the Outdoor Channel: Dark and Dangerous and Tracks Across Africa. This season he has a new show, Carters War (Wild Animal Response). Ivan feels that he can do more for conservation and his native Africa by helping to protect Elephants and Rhinos from native poaching. After 25 years of safari, I asked Ivan if he was still going to hunt? He replied "very little." If uncontrolled poaching is allowed to continue, in 20 years these animals will disappear like the American buffalo.

Larry Potterfield

As the founder and CEO of Midway USA, Larry Potterfield, is known throughout the outdoor industry as a key distributor of just about everything you will need in the shooting sports. As a defender of the 2nd Amendment, Larry has been a major contributor to many of the sports hunting and conservation groups. Few in the industry have received as many lifetime achievement awards as has Larry. We are very proud to have Larry as a friend of Accessible Outdoors.org. He will be forever remembered for his business slogan “Thank You For Your Business.”

Tiffany Lakosky, Lee Lakosky

I met the Lakoskys in 2012 and what wonderful people they are.  Stars of their own TV show, The Crush with Lee and Tiffany.  You can see their hunts on Sunday at 7:30pm, Tuesday 5:30pm,or Wednesday at 8;30pm.  If you like big bucks, be sure to tune in on the Outdoor Channel to this number one rated show.

Lee has given me invaluable information on how to improve my food plots and manage the land.  Both Lee and Tiffany, along with their children Cameron and Raygen live a beautiful outdoor lifestyle where they can study whitetails in the wild all year long.  The children can often be seen with mom and dad checking trail cameras, riding in the cab of a tractor, looking at the big bucks at the end of the day, or just on the floor playing with toys. A great family, expert bow hunters, conservationists, they are the real deal in the fair chase TV world.

Mike Utley

As a star player for the Detroit Lions, Mike Utley, was paralyzed in a game against the L A Rams in 1991.  Utley flashed the crowd a “thumbs up” as he was being taken from the field. The “thumbs up” sign has become the symbol for The Mike Utley Foundation, run by Mike and his wife, Dani. The foundation seeks to find a cure and educate the public on spinal cord injuries. Both Mike and Dani hunt and are very active in the shooting sports and live an active outdoor lifestyle. Pictured with Rock Star and Outdoorsman Ted Nugent!

Ted Nugent

I met Ted in 1967 when he was lead guitarist for the group Amboy Dukes. To millions of music lovers, Ted has carved a permanent place in Rock and Roll history. In addition, few have done as much for the American military and the Wounded Warriors as Ted, performing concerts and a USO show. Be sure to watch Ted’s award winning show “Spirit of the Wild” on the Outdoor Channel.  Each week you can see the “wackmaster” himself wack em and stack em!

 Joe Arpaio

Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona is America’s toughest sheriff. Sheriff Joe is known for setting up a Tent City for his inmates, make inmates wear pink underwear, and having a chain gang do public work. At the same time, Joe makes it possible for inmates to earn high school credit toward a diploma and runs a no-kill animal shelter for abused pets that his staff brings in. The last time I spoke to Sheriff Joe he had just spent a few days in Detroit on a fact-finding mission. We need more true American Patriots like Sheriff Joe Arpaio!

Jim Shockey is a Canadian outdoor writer, a professional big game outfitter and television producer for many hunting shows. Jim has hunted in more than fifty countries and has taken nearly four hundred know species. Jim is the producer and host of “Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures” and “Jim Shockey’s Uncharted on Outdoor Channel”.

Jim is often seen on television with his daughter Eva (2nd picture) while his son Branlin does most of the shows filming and production. I have had the pleasure to meet all of the Shockey family members and share many conversations with Jim. The programs they produce are much more than just hunting shows. Jim is a great conservationist, sportsman, and a true gentleman in every way. His shows appeal to a very broad audience. I always look forward to seeing any of the Shockey’s and they always have a list of questions to "ask Jim!"

Michael Waddell (left)

The pride of Booger Bottom Georgia, Michael spent his first years hunting and fishing in the backwoods and backwaters of this beautiful deep south area.  He is very accomplished turkey caller and gained the attention of the Realtree gang when he won the Realtree Grand American Turkey Calling Contest.  In 1994 Michael was asked to become a cameramen for Realtree .  He proved to be as comfortable in front of the camera as behind it. He has gone on to host Realtree Road Trips and now the award winning The Bone Collectors.  Michael can be seen each week on the Outdoor Chanel.

Nick Munt (right)

Nick is Michaels partner on The Bone Collector.  Growing up in Spearfish South Dakota, he is a lover of wide open spaces.  A barber by education but a hunter by heart he began guiding on the large ranches in the area.  Realtree came to film a show using Nick as their guide and he and Michael connected.  He made several appearances on Road Trips and then was asked to be on The Bone Collectors.  Nick has guided disabled hunters was very interested in what we were doing with Accessible Outdoors.
